Filler is a gel, most often hyaluronic acid, placed beneath the skin to restore the underlying support structure.

How We Approach Your Treatment
We start by identifying where volume has actually been lost rather than simply filling the lines you see in the mirror. Often the hollow that bothers you is best addressed by treating an area slightly above or beside it, because that is where the structural support gave way. This is where a surgeon's understanding of facial anatomy changes the outcome, since the visible problem and its underlying cause are frequently in two different places, and chasing the line directly tends to produce the overfilled look that no one wants.
Treatment takes about thirty minutes and most fillers contain a local anesthetic for comfort. Expect some swelling for three to five days and occasional bruising, especially under the eyes, where the skin is thinnest and most prone to it. Results are visible immediately and continue to settle over the following two weeks as any swelling resolves and the product integrates with your tissue. We will see you back to assess the final result, and because most of the fillers we use can be dissolved, nothing about your treatment is permanent or beyond adjustment.
